In Gummersbach-Deschlag, the Emmauskirche becomes the scene of a fascinating art show! From November 10, 2024 to January 5, 2025, the respected doctor and artist Uwe Wintersohl presents his breathtaking works under the motto "Heaven and earth touch themselves". This exhibition not only promises to illuminate visual impressions, but also profound topics such as connection and the meaningfulness of life.
Visitors can look forward to an extraordinary collection! Winter sohl has created angel sculptures, thorn bush fragments and sky ladders with a lot of dedication, which stimulate thought and open up new perspectives. The artist has researched the aesthetics of the divine for over 25 years and his works invite you to question and expand your own view.

The ceremonial opening of the exhibition will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 11.15 a.m. after the service. Uwe Wintersohl will personally be present and give exciting insights into his artistic work. This opportunity is perfect to talk to the artist and learn more about the background of his impressive works. A small snack and the possibility of exchange round off the event.
The works of art can be seen on Sundays after the service from 12.15pm to 1.30pm and Tuesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Emmauskirche (Kirchweg 1, 51645 Gummersbach-Derschlag). Groups and school classes are also welcome and should make appointments on the homepage of the church www.ekwd.de. Community officer Evelyn Doelfs emphasizes that this exhibition makes the load -bearing capacity of faith, hope and love tangible.
