District levy is increasing: District Administrator Hags sharp criticism of the federal government
In the Oberberg district it is bubbling! District Administrator Jochen Hagn presented the double budget for 2025 and 2026 in the Lindlar cultural center on Thursday afternoon - and the news is alarming! The municipal households are facing a massive change that could drive the cities and municipalities to the brink of ruin. The circular levy will increase drastically, despite all the efforts to minimize the stress.
did not leave good hair on the federal government, which overwhelm the circles with its "generous" social benefits and new tasks. "This is not a sustainable policy, but leads municipal households to ruin," said the district administrator. The challenges are tremendous: pandemic, energy crisis, inflation and geopolitical conflicts are strongly increasing the municipalities. The bare numbers speak volumes: the district budget amounts to a total volume of 607.7 million euros, with record expenditure in the social area that will continue to increase in the coming years.
rising levies and drastic measures
The alarm bells ring! The transfer expenses reach 330.4 million euros in 2025 and 342.1 million euros in 2026 astronomical heights. Hagt emphasized that the circle's equity should not be reduced further to relieve the municipalities. Instead, the compensation reserve is completely dissolved and the financial disadvantages from the pandemic and the Ukraine secretary are immediately written off. These drastic measures are intended to help manage the pressing tasks, but the lifting rates still have to rise - a hard blow for the municipalities!
Despite the tense situation, Hagn remains optimistic. Investments in health, education and infrastructure should ensure the future viability of the region. The plans include the expansion of rescue guards and the creation of a third special school. The administration is centralized to save costs and increase efficiency. The district administrator thanked the district administration employees for their tireless efforts, especially in the immigration office, where the increasing number of refugees is an enormous challenge.
The almost 680 -page budget is now being discussed in the district committees and is to be decided in December. Citizens can find out about the details on the website of the Oberberg district. The future of the circle hangs on the silk thread - and the upcoming decisions could change everything!
