Bo-Navi professional fair: Students discover their future in Waldbröl!

In Waldbröl, the “Bo-Navi” professional fair recently took place at the comprehensive school, the students in classes 8 and 9 and interested high school students offered the opportunity to sniff into various professional fields. Almost 30 companies and institutions were on site to present their training and career opportunities. This fair was an important step to inform young people about the diversity of the professional worlds and to enable them a direct connection to the world of work.

The financial industry was also strongly represented with the Kreissparkasse Cologne and the Provincial Insurance, which brought the various fields of activity closer to the students in their area. In addition, the city of Waldbröl, the tax office, the Oberbergische Kreis and the Bundeswehr informed about entry and career opportunities in the public service.

Another highlight of the fair was the presentation of craft professions. Companies such as electrical home and chimney sweep Giebeler showed what the students awaited in these professions. Roofers Hemmersbach and the Bergische Waste Management Association also offered exciting insights into the practical work in the craft, while gardening and landscaping through Berster-Koch/Dr. Fink Stauff and Straßenbau NRW was added.

In addition, the students had the opportunity to find out about professions in the health and social sector. The Lichtenberg senior center and the HBW Waldbröl/BWO Wiehl explained the various training paths and career opportunities in their facilities. A particularly interesting aspect was also the educational provider EF Education First, who brought the young people closer to international education and travel programs.

This event impressively showed how important it is to clarify students early on about the various professional opportunities and to facilitate access to information. The diversity of the professions presented was able to give many valuable impulses and arouse young people's interest in various fields of activity.
