Benefit concert in Schnellenbach: Tanja Platz is fighting for new operation!

Schnellenbach, Deutschland - Engelskirchen lights up! A benefit concert that touches the heart and attracts spectators: Tanja was founded in Schnellenbach, who has been in a wheelchair for a devastating mountain bike accident in 2017, celebrated with music and community spirit. The newly founded band "Cairos" from the Evangelical parish of Ründeroth started the start with the moving song "I Still Haven’t Found what I'm Looking for" from U2. Tanja Platz, full of emotion and joie de vivre, captivated everyone when she moderated the event and welcomed the full hall.

The musical performance offered a wide range: from classic sounds of the music school saxophone quartet to soulful pieces of the gospel choir of the free Christian community of Windhagen to happy German folk songs. The evening, crowned by an inspiring personal story of Tanja himself, made it clear how strong her will and determination are. Despite the challenges that her accident brought with her, she never gave up. She told of her successful driver's license, training as a tax clerk and the knowledge of an innovative further operation that she hopes for. This is to be carried out in 2025 and would enable the connection of nerve fibers that were taken from arms and legs.

a successful evening for a good cause

With a financial goal of 40,000 euros for the next operation, which is not covered by the health insurance, any support was of crucial importance. The flood of donations was great because sponsors such as the Lange bakery provided food and all income flowed to the donation account. After the well -deserved break, the gospel choir heated up properly with a spectacular "I Will Follow Him" and the saxophone quartet with the stirring "putin 'on the Ritz" of the crowd. The final, in which all artists together sang Bob Dylan's "Knockin 'on Heaven’s Door", had the audience cheered and clearly showed: Everyone counts here, hope and courage to live here.

Special thanks went to Volksbank Oberberg for its generous donation and the unshakable support of Tanja's family. Her grandmother, Silvia Wirth, proudly spoke of Tanja's willpower and the impressive achievements that she has done since the accident. Tanja himself took up this appreciation deeply: "It was good for my soul to see so many people. The dear God only gives you the tasks that can be mastered," was the way from her grandfather, who was also on stage that evening as a bass player. A truly unforgettable evening that will be remembered by many!
