Bahn chaos in the Oberberg: Bridge and tracks provide long closures!

Deutsche Bahn causes excitement! Massive construction work on the "Eü Weg" bridge at Meinerzhagen and track work between Ründeroth and Lüdenscheid lead to long closures of the RB25 route. Originally, the section between Marienheide and Lüdenscheid should be released for rail traffic from December 15th, but now it is clear that the trains will be out of operation by April 30, 2025! Travelers have to adjust to significant changes.

From this evening it will be worse! Between Friday, November 8, 8:45 p.m. and Monday, November 11, 1 a.m., the trains between Ründeroth and Marienheide fail. Deutsche Bahn has announced that track work is the reason for this disorder. But don't worry! A rail replacement traffic is set up to promote travelers between Ründeroth and Lüdenscheid. However, the inconveniences cannot be overlooked - commuters and travelers have to adjust to delays and detours.
