Eight new pastors for telephone counseling Oberberg: Hope on the wire!

Nümbrecht-Marienberghausen, Deutschland - In the Oberbergische Kreis, the telephone counseling of the church district has received growth on the Agger. Eight new volunteers were officially welcomed to an introductory service in Nümbrecht-Marienberghausen. So there are now a total of 40 committed employees who work pastoral and people are at the side of emotional crises.

The new members, including six women and two men, have undergone six -month training in which they were supported by experienced colleagues such as Dagmar Rubruck, Christoph Fuhr and Kathrin Stoll. Arno Molter, the head of telephone counseling, praised her dedication and the fresh wind that they bring into the team: "Despite the challenges that the world currently offers, you have mastered your training with remarkable liveliness and mindfulness," said Molter.

The importance of telephone counseling

Christoph Fuhr explained the special responsibility that volunteering brings. "The telephone counseling is not an easy volunteer. Telephone pastoral care offers support around the clock and can be reached on the free number 0800 - 111 0. The anonymity of callers and employees is a central component of the offer that has existed for over 30 years.

The introductory service was designed festively, the musical accompaniment took over the church musician Arndt Schumacher on the organ and on the piano. After the service there was a reception in the Protestant parish hall, followed by a dinner together in the hotel "Zur Alten Post". The new employees are not only an enrichment for the existing team, they also contribute to the continuous tradition of telephone counseling, which has established itself as a valuable contact point in difficult situations.
