New self -help group in Rheine: mourners find stop after suicide
Herrenschreiberstraße, Rheine, Deutschland - in the district dean of Steinfurt, Rheine, a new support group for relatives after a suicide starts on February 4. Ines Plien and Alexandra Klima from the marriage, family and life counseling (EFL) of the diocese of Münster lead the group entitled "You are not alone (you are not alone)- talk about suicide". The registrations are now possible.
The loss of a loved one by suicide presents relatives to numerous questions and challenges. They often ask themselves why they couldn't help. Suicide can shake the entire social environment and relatives often experience the feeling of being alone and abandoned, as many people avoid contact. The group offers a protected space in which a respectful and confidential exchange about feelings and thoughts can take place.
Details about the group
The meetings take place on several dates: February 4, February 18, March 4 and 18, March 1st, 15th and 29th and May 13th, on Tuesdays from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. in the EFL advice center on Herrenschreiberstrasse in Rheine. Participants must be at least 18 years old. After registration, which can take place by phone at 05971-96890 or by email to EFL-Rheine [at] bistum-muenster.de, a contact discussion takes place.
The grief for a loved one lost by suicide is often accompanied by guilt, shame and confusion. As described on mit-trauer-leben.de , it is important to accept the reality of loss and to overcome feelings of guilt, since suicide is often the result of untreated mental illnesses. Support from family, friends or professional consultants is recommended, as well as self -care and the preserved positive memories in the form of rituals.
