Unique sound frenzy: Crescendo inspires in the Baringer Münster!
A spectacular A-cappella concert by the Eichstätter vocal ensemble "Crescendo" in the Baringer Münster received enthusiastic standing ovation. Under the direction of Volker Hagemann, the talented singers devoted themselves to a program entitled "Missa" that combined the trade fairs of various important composers. The focus was on the "Missa Rigensis" of the Latvian composer Uģis Prauliņš, supplemented by excerpts from Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina "Missa Papae Marcelli" and Joseph Rheinberger's "Missa St. Crucis".
The young choir was extremely versatile and skilfully mastered the different musical styles. A highlight of the evening was the Kyrie von Rheinberger, which the audience took with an impressive promotion. In contrast, the Kyrie of Palestrina was shaped by a huge abundance of sound and long melody. The contemporary composition of Prauliņš, with its deep emotionalities in Kyrie, Gloria and Credo, also left a lasting impression.
emotional highlights with goosebumps guarantee
One of the most emotional elements in the concert was the Gloria, which was characterized by powerful voices and a dynamic presence. The chorists almost wrapped the listeners with their energy, with an arrangement technique used that was reminiscent of a rondell. The credo made the listeners sit down with targeted sounds and quiet moments. The quiet emphasis on the word "Crucifixus", which aroused noticeably emotions, was particularly impressive.
The concert followed the classic structure of a fair and gave the audience a varied musical performance. Palestrina's “Sanctus” was felt to be sublime, while Rheinberger's “Agnus Dei” with its liberating melody led the audience into a deeper reflection. The touching soprano voices and the empathetic lecture of the texts from Prauliņš 'composition of the same name rounded off the musical journey and ensured that the "Missa" puzzle became a harmonious and memorable experience.
Brigitte Clemens, one of the participants, was enthusiastic about the performance and the emotional depth that created the singers. "It was simply magical to experience the connection between the different pieces and the way they all were put together," she said, according to information from www.augsburger-allgemeine.de .
