The Bad Oeynhausen police have initiated investigations in a current case of fraud and asks the public for help. Two previously unknown men are suspected of having used fake documents in several banks in 2024 to withdraw money from foreign accounts.

On March 4 and 7, 2024, the men performed in the branches of the Sparkasse on Detmolder Straße and Eidinghausener Straße. In doing so, they presented fake passports and could be absorbed in the banks by the surveillance cameras. In view of the lack of traces from internal investigations, the police decided to make the pictures publicly to find witnesses.

Details about the suspects

He had dark hair and was dressed in a light jacket during the incident with a dark scarf and a gray tie. It is striking that he communicated with the bank employees in English.

The police have obtained a judicial decision that enables the publication of the surveillance images to search. The two men who acted in the respective branches can be seen in the photos.
