City library Mettmann: Experience historical lectures on the anniversary!

The city library in Mettmann becomes a setting for exciting history placement! On Thursday, November 14th, the circle of friends of the city library and the home club Aula Mettmann invite you to an exciting evening. The lectures start at 7 p.m. and offer a unique experience for those interested in history. Gisela Bendt reveals the fascinating transformation of the city from the late 1800s to the present day, while Hans-Werner Lange illuminates the development of local public transport between 1880 and 1950. Both presentations are supplemented by impressive diabilder from private ownership and archives - a visual festival for the senses!

These lectures are part of the celebrations for the anniversary "600 Years of Freedom Mettmann" and are also accompanied by solemn organ music. But that's just the beginning! On Saturday, November 30th, the youngest awaits another exciting event where they can learn more about the history of their city. This lecture begins at 11 a.m. and promises to captivate the young listeners.

But the commitment to city history does not end here! In the coming year there will be several tours on the program, which will take place on March 22nd and 23rd and on May 17th and 18th. The meeting point is at 3 p.m. on the Königshofplatz on the stairs to Lavalplatz.
