Discover the magical reading hour for children in the city library!

The city library will become the setting for an exciting and educational reading hour for small children on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The youngest, at the age of three to six years, are the focus. Restears Silke Bogner will bring the story "What does the little goose in autumn" from the author Elli Woolard bring to life.

In this lovingly told story, the small goose is confronted with the change of seasons. While summer passes into autumn, she feels that something changes in the air. A cool wind brings fresh air, and the leaves begin to change color in warm red tones and golden yellow. But what does that mean? The little goose curiously watches their animal friends. The beavers deal with the chopping of wood, the squirrels collect nuts, and the bears are preparing to build a cozy cave. Despite their efforts to join the activities of their friends, the small goose has difficulties, because their wings are not intended to chop or ditch. Finally she realizes that her wings are made for something wonderful: to fly.

After the captivating reading hour, the participants can expect a creative phase in which the children can paint and tinker together, inspired by history. This practical activity promotes imagination and gives the little ones the opportunity to let their creativity run free. The focus is on fun and learning.

Participation in the storytime is free of charge and no prior registration is required. This enables parents and their children to get uncomplicated and to spend a great time in the library. The event is an excellent opportunity to promote the children's spring skills and at the same time discover the fun of stories.

The city library not only presents a simple reading with this reading hour, but also creates a space in which children are inspired by stories and at the same time develop their creative skills. The storytime represents a valuable addition to the city's cultural educational landscape and emphasizes the importance of reading in early childhood.
