Prime Minister Wüst visits Lippe: Innovation, volunteering and history!
On Monday, November 18, 2024, Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst will be active in the Lippe district to find out about important projects and challenges in the region. A highlight of his visit is the opening of the new world of experience at the Hermann Monument, which is known under the name "Hermanneum". This innovative attraction will attract over 500,000 visitors annually and bring the history of the monument to life through digital technologies and a newly built Breitwand cinema. Wüst emphasizes the importance of the Hermannsdeklang as a symbol of peace and international understanding in Europe.
Another important date is the visit to the Future Food Factory at the Technical University of Ostwestfalen-Lippe in Lemgo. Forming food technologies are being researched here in order to improve the quality and sustainability of food production. Wüst will exchange ideas with researchers and get to know the progress in the digital transformation of the food industry. "The Technical University of Ostwestfalen-Lippe is a lighthouse of innovation and education in the region," says Wüst and emphasizes the cooperation between science and industry.
Visit to Weidmüller and reception for volunteers
In addition, Wüst will visit Weidmüller GmbH in Detmold, a leading company in electrical connection technology that generated sales of over one billion euros in 2023. The Prime Minister will exchange ideas with trainees and the board of the skilled workers and the digital change in industry. "Weidmüller stands for the high innovation potential of North Rhine-Westphalian companies," says Wüst.
In the evening Wüst invited to a reception in Lemgo to honor the 75th anniversary of the Lippe State Association. "Voluntary commitment promotes community sense and solidarity," explains Wüst and expresses his thanks for the many people for their commitment.
