Musiala about his future: no Christmas present for the Bayern fans!
München, Deutschland - Bayern Munich Superstar Jamal Musiala has made it clear that there will be no 'gift' for his fans about a contract extension before Christmas. The 21-year-old, whose current contract runs until 2026, said in an interview with the Sport BILD : "Unfortunately there is no Christmas present that I can make the fans. There will be no news that quickly." Musiala wants to concentrate exclusively on his sporting performance and hopes that all decision criteria for his future will come together positively at Bayern.
He emphasized that a pleasant atmosphere and the chance of success, especially in the Champions League, are very important to him. In addition, Musiala has expressed the desire to shape an era at FC Bayern: "If I extend my contract with Bayern FC, this is my claim and goal," he explained. Also addressed to the possibility of a change from Florian Wirtz to Bayern, Musiala said that he would be happy to be on the pitch with his national team comrade, while the player is currently still advising with Bayer 04 Leverkusen about an extension of the contract.
The way to extend the contract
The Bayern managers, especially sports director Max Eberl, have already initiated discussions about a possible extension, but Musiala remains calm: "My focus is to concentrate on the games. I want to be free on the pitch, even if you put a lot of pressure from outside." He talks about the necessary parameters for his decision and emphasizes that everything has to feel good and right. While Musiala has been playing in Munich for over five years, it remains to be seen how his contract negotiations will develop, while the pressure from the club tour grows, such as Sky Sport reported.
