On January 11, 2025, the Dutzi dealership in Krefeld presented the latest model of the Opel GT. The car dealership was founded in 1886 as an actuator and J. Dutzi Wagen-Fabrik and has specialized in the vehicle trade and repair services since 1930, as representation of Adam Opel AG. Since 1997, the company's focus has been on development, marketing and administration of your own property.
Karl Heinz Lengwenings, who was born on February 10, 1927 and died on June 18, 2017, was a formative figure in the Krefeld media landscape. From 1954 to 1965 he worked as a press photographer at the Neue Rhein/Neue Ruhr Zeitung (NRZ) in Krefeld. He was then a picture journalist for the Westdeutsche Zeitung (WZ) from 1965 to 1970.
cultural engagement and archive work
1965 Lengwenings moved to the city of Krefeld and took over the management of the cityscape position until his retirement in 1989, which later became known as the press office. During his professional career, he documented almost all socio -political, time -historical, cultural and sporting events in Krefeld. In addition to his work for the local media, he also worked freelance for national media such as the star and for private customers.
After retirement in 1989, Lengweninge remained active as a freelance photographer and created an extensive private archive with several hundred thousand black and white negatives, especially from 1954 to 1970. Photographic time documents that were created from 1970 to 1989 were recorded in the official archive of the city of Krefeld.
