Full closure of the L 351: Deriration and traffic disruptions from January!
From January 20, 2025, the L 351 between Berus and Altforweiler in the district of Saarlouis will be fully blocked. The responsible authorities announced this in order to carry out the necessary repair work after storm damage occurred on May 17, 2024. The current traffic routing provides for a half -side road for safety reasons, but the low road width requires a complete blocking, as this does not correspond to the construction site guidelines.
The construction work is expected to continue until mid -March 2025, whereby the completion depends on the weather. During the construction period, road users have to expect redirections: For the direction of travel by Berus, the redirection of the L 351 leads via the B 269 to Felsberg and further via the L 350 to Altforsweiler. In the opposite direction, the diversion is reversed accordingly. It is recommended to observe current traffic reports and to plan more time for the trip, as possible traffic disruptions can be expected. The aim of this construction measure is the long-term securing and improvement of the traffic conditions on the affected section, such as Saarnews reported.
traffic conditions in Germany
In Germany, traffic jams are a widespread problem, especially in regions such as North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria, Hesse, Lower Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate. Large cities such as Stuttgart, Cologne and Munich are particularly susceptible to dust. In addition to busy times such as the start of the holiday and end of the holiday, traffic jams are often caused by growing freight traffic, permanent construction sites and blocked lanes as well as accidents, such as rp online
