Mülheim, Deutschland - The Volkshochschule (VHS) Cologne starts in winter 2024/25 with an innovative program that invites citizens to actively participate in democracy. Especially in times when trust in democratic values disappear, it is important that the Cologne team are involved and help shape democracy. As ksta.de , the varied program includes both informing events as well as interactive formats for exchange and personal reflection. The program will open on December 11th with the conversation "How Bismarck the German Reich forced" in Lindenthal.
In addition, on December 13th and 14th, the interactive exhibition "The Small Container - Art Meet's Empowerment" will take place in the Kulturbunker Mülheim, which aims to question power structures. On December 19, interested parties can take part in an online seminar on the subject of "press freedom-a fundamental right is threatened", which is offered in cooperation with the ARD. Mülheim relies on active citizen participation
The city of Mülheim also plans a number of events to include the public on current political issues.
