Cologne in the cannabis frenzy: eight clubs approved, many applications open!
Köln, Deutschland - In North Rhine-Westphalia, the cannabis clubs are booming! So far, 25 cannabis growing associations have already been approved nationwide, including eight in the cathedral city of Cologne. These new clubs can now begin the common breeding of cannabis, as the district government of the German Press Agency (dpa) confirmed. And the interest is great: in addition to the clubs already approved, numerous further applications are waiting for a decision. In Cologne alone, 28 applications are currently being carried out, while nine permits were issued in the Arnsberg region and 16 applications are still waiting for their processing. The increasing number of applications indicates a growing market for cannabis growing associations, which reinforces the pioneering role of NRW in this matter, such as ksta.de reported.
strict requirements for permits
The approval of the cannabis clubs is, however, tied to strict guidelines. Like t-online.de , only members who are at least 18 years old and have been living in Germany for at least six months. In addition, distance regulations on schools, kindergartens and playgrounds of 200 meters must be observed to ensure the protection of young people. The focus is also on the safety of the plants and seeds: these must be kept safely to prevent abuse.
The Ministry of Health plans to allow up to 3,000 cultivation associations in NRW, which makes the new cannabis legalization an important topic in the federal state. This could not only revolutionize the leisure activities of cannabis users, but also open up new economic perspectives. The dynamics in the approval phase indicate a strong interest that could significantly influence the development of cannabis culture in Germany.
