Anniversary: Musica Sacra celebrates for 25 years with grandiose concerts!
Düffelward, Deutschland - In 2000, the "Musica Sacra" support group was launched in the Düffelt to promote concerts on historically important organs. Today, 25 years later, the success story ranges until the anniversary year 2025, which is celebrated with a special program. The start on January 5, 2025 is a New Year's concert in the St. Mauritius Church in Düffelward, presented by the talented organ student Wietse Ouwejan, who studies with Professor Sitzen de Vries in Groningen. This was reported by the Niederrhein News.
fascinating concerts and highlights
The anniversary celebration will follow an exciting annual program that celebrates the art of organ music. On Good Friday, April 18, the organizers invite you to traditional passion music in the Martinuskirche in Bimmen. That evening, spokeswoman Ulrike Froleyks from Cologne will present the profound texts for suffering and death in harmony with the virtuoso organ music by Stefan Burs from Emmerich. The event "Classic for Kids" on May 18 will be an experience in the Kellener Willibrordkirche, especially for children, in which Heinz-Peter Kortmann plays the "pictures of an exhibition".
Another highlight of the anniversary program is the ceremony on June 15th in St. Mauritius Düffelward, in which Professor Tomasz Adam Nowak will play for the festival concert. At the same time, the VII. International organ autumn takes place in the Düffelt, which will bring renowned organists such as Father Ralph Greis and Nicolas de Troyer. Entry to all events is free of charge, but a collection is requested to cover the costs. Further information about the support group and the full program can be found at this link
