Bloody dispute at Wallrafplatz: 32-year-old stabbed!
Cologne comes into focus again after a shocking incident occurred in the city center. On Thursday afternoon, October 10th, a 32-year-old Polish football trailer was seriously injured on Wallrafplatz on the stomach. The man is currently being operated on while the police are driving the investigation.
The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. when the injured person was on the way to the RheinEnergieStadion with some companions to take part in a planned fan march. At the height of Wallrafplatz, they came into dealing with another group. In this dispute there was the tragic outbreak of violence, whereupon a previously unknown perpetrator stabbed the 32-year-old with a sharp object in the stomach.

The Cologne police were able to arrest a 17-year-old suspect near the cathedral. When he was arrested, blood tea were to be seen, which indicates that he may be involved. Meanwhile, the search for the attacker who is still sought remains is active, while the motif behind the attack is still unclear.
The crime scene is cordoned off for securing evidence, and the police take measures to identify the perpetrator and to localize the weapon.
