Lower Rhine on the Expo Real: Focus on commercial space for investors!

In Munich, the important real estate fair Expo Real is currently being organized, in which an extensive delegation from the district of Kleve is also participating. This fair attracts numerous investors and interested parties who are looking for new commercial space. The focus is on making the economic potential of the region visible and creating new incentives in the current market situation.

During her visit, Ina Scharrenbach, the Minister for Home, Municipal, Construction and Digitization in North Rhine-Westphalia, met with District Administrator Christoph Gerwers and various mayors of the district. They congratulated on the latest success, the settlement of Rheinmetall in Airport Weeze. At a time when the economic situation is tense, it is particularly gratifying to observe that the district of Kleve remains attractive for investors. This is also evident in the settlement of Tricor in the inter-municipal commercial area of Weeze-Goch, which is considered a further step in the right direction.

economic development and offers

At the fair, new projects are advertised in many ways. In Emmerich, the most modern warehouse and production buildings are already being planned on a total area of around 25,270 square meters. In addition, a 70,000 square meter industrial round piece is created on the A3, on which new buildings are also built. Around 55,000 square meters are currently available in the region that can be made available for investments.

The city of Geldern presents the Nierspark, which is located near the city center and has the expansion of new residential areas. Extensions are also imminent in the Kalkar-Veglaver business park to provide further areas for the settlement of companies.

Kleve itself advertises free areas in their industrial areas. Around 46,000 square meters are immediately available in the Nellenwardgen area and around 9,000 square meters in the Hammscher Hof. In the Müldersfeld industrial estate in Wachtendonk, interested parties benefit from excellent transport links, which makes the location particularly attractive. The Business Park at Airport Weeze has already attracted several medium -sized companies and large corporations.

networking and exchange

A joint tour of the knife offered the representatives of the district of Kleve numerous opportunities to get in touch with project developers, investors and financiers. Talks were particularly revealing with the NRW.Bank and NRW.URBAN, which took place at the stand of the Ministry for Home, Locales, Construction and Digitization. Such network opportunities are crucial to further strengthen the region's economic perspectives.

Traditionally took place before the first day of the fair, the Lower Rhine evening, in which numerous representatives of the counties and municipalities came together to exchange ideas and open the fair together. Now it remains to be seen whether the linked contacts will result in similar successful settlements similar to those of Tricor and Rheinmetall. The Expo Real still lasts until October 9th and the expectations are high.
