Herne emergency services: Volunteers should save lives!

Herne emergency services: Volunteers should save lives!

A revolutionary system could soon save life in Herne! The emergency services plans to introduce a lay helper system that mobilizes committed citizens to quickly help in emergencies. Registered volunteers are immediately notified by a special app if an accident happens near you. So you can be at the scene of the accident at lightning speed and start with first aid before the professionals arrive. A real lifesaver in need!

But why is that so important? The numbers speak for themselves: 55 percent of people hesitate to provide help for cardiovascular homes. In only 30 percent of the cases, it is actually intervened! The chances of survival decrease dramatically every minute. A cardiac massage through laypersons can double the chances of survival - even tripled in some cases! The Herne emergency services therefore ask everyone to regularly refresh their first aid knowledge, for example through a course.

a step in the right direction

The lay helper system is currently being checked internally, but the anticipation is great. The idea that every citizen can become a lifesaver could significantly shorten the reaction times in emergencies. This initiative not only raises awareness of first aid, but also brought together the community in Herne more closely. It is time for us to take all responsibility and be ready to act in critical moments!
