Profanation of three churches: ceremony with Auxiliary Bishop Holtkotte on November 2

The Catholic parish of St. Dionysius in Herne is facing an emotional farewell: On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the profits of the churches of St. Konrad, St. Barbara and St. Elisabeth take place! A moving event in which Paderborn Auxiliary Bishop Josef Holtkotte will lead the ceremony. The faithful are invited to go through their holy sites on a unique pilgrimage.

At 1 p.m. the celebration begins in the St. Konrad Church on Kronenstrasse. The participants will leave the St. Barbara Church as pilgrims, where another prayer takes place at 2:15 p.m. The whole thing mature in the St. Elisabeth Church at 3:30 p.m. before finally gathering for the ceremonial Pontifical Office in the St. Bonifatius Church at 5 p.m.

The arrival for prayer
