Miniature golf tournament in Lana: Weather Caprioles and exciting competitions!

Lana, Italien - The conditions at the miniaturgy tournament in Lana were once again a real challenge! The participants were welcomed with bright sunshine, only to be surprised by sudden rains and cool weather. In order to protect the lanes, the organizers built tents that covered at least parts of the damp tracks. But the wet slows down the balls, which forced players to rethink their strategies. Finally, the tournament was shortened to a single day with four rounds. Sunday then brought encouraging T-shirt weather, but the lanes remained Tricky!

Willi Hettrich fights with the challenges

Willi Hettrich had a hard time with the changeable conditions. After a passable first round with 23 points, he lined up among the top ten players in the seniors. But the next game fell into midfield with 27 points. Somehow the ball change in warm weather and dry lanes confused its consistency and some uncertainties crept in. However, the third round was a turn when he changed the balls again and came back to the top eight with a solid score of 21 points!

But then the dreaded “Lana round” came! From rail 4 it was as a hexed: Slump to Slump followed, and Hettrich found himself in midfield again with one last round of 28 points. It remains positive that he remained less than 100 strokes - 99 points! He achieved a "green result". Despite the disappointment, Hettrich plans to return to the 44th South Tyroltrophy in the coming autumn. Who knows, maybe he can use past experience next time!
