From October 30th, just in time for World Savings Day, it starts! The Kreissparkasse Heinsberg brings out a brand new wall calendar for 2025, which is available free of charge in all branches. The edition of the highly expected calendar is 10,800 copies! Thomas Giessing, the CEO of the Kreissparkasse, and his colleague Marie-Theres Jakobs-Bolten proudly presented the novelty, which puts the beauty of the rivers and waters of the region into the spotlight. "In a hectic world we often forget the natural wonder around us," emphasizes Giessing and invites people to be inspired by the magical motifs.

Since the demand and interest are high, as in previous years, a photo competition was launched! Each resident of the Heinsberg district was allowed to submit his best pictures for the calendar. Over 480 photos of 212 participants were sent in, from which a jury of experts selected the most outstanding motifs for the 12 monthly sheets and the cover. Who is among the winners? Each of the selected images is awarded 200 euros and the cover picture even with a proud 400 euros! A real incentive for creative minds to show their best work.

The winners, including Marion Janssen with the cover picture, bring the most beautiful facets of the waters into the calendar, which will also be accessible online on the website of the Kreissparkasse from November 2024. It remains exciting, because a new photo competition for all citizens is already being planned for the 2026 calendar, under the motto "Special paths in the Heinsberg district". It is expected that many talented photographers will take part again and the jury will be amazed with impressive works.
