Autumn concert in Hastenrath: A musical festival for the senses!

Hastenrath, Deutschland - An overwhelming rush to the autumn concert of the Hastenrath-Süstersseel choir community! A quarter of an hour before the starting shot, additional chairs were necessary to cope with the huge rush in the church. The unforgettable afternoon promised musical highlights, supported by the choir community and the talented soloist Barbara Meukissen.

The crowd was immediately tied up when the singers opened the concert with the song "The Beauty of the World". Then the radiant Barbara Meukissen kidnapped the audience into the magical Disney world with "play of colors of the wind" from Pocahontas, which made real goosebumps moments! But that's not all - with "only for me" from the famous musical "Les Misérables" she put the feeling up again. A pleasure for everyone present!

The choir community continued to shine with rousing film music. The classic "One Moment in Time", originally intended as an Olympic ceremony, became a powerful sign of perseverance and hope. Under the direction of Martin Jaspers, they performed the song with impressive energy. The choir Cantamus, which has been enriching church services in particular since the 1990s, expanded its repertoire with modern pieces, all of which captivated in the auditorium.

The grand finale was the highlight of the evening: the choir community combined with Cantamus for a musical symbiosis. Together they sang "I Believe" and "Ten thousand reasons". But the crowning glory put everything in the shade: The largest choir that the Hastenrather had ever seen combined with a soloist and audience for the Irish blessing "May the street bring us together". A concentrated emotional experience that will be remembered for a long time!
