Heinsberg, Deutschland - The Council of the City of Heinsberg has decided on a new funding program called "Climate Protection and Climate Suppression 2025". The program is based on the integrated climate protection concept of the city of Heinsberg, which was adopted in December 2021. Details of the funding program
Measures funded are, among other things, facade and roof surface greening, which should contribute to improving the urban climate and to increase biodiversity. In addition, a free distribution campaign of domestic, deeply rooted trees and drought -resistant hedge plants is offered on self -collectors. A tree or a hedge plant can be picked up per household.The program also promotes the production of renewable energy by supporting the acquisition of photovoltaic systems and plug -in solar devices (balcony power plants). It is important that only photovoltaic systems are funded that are installed by a specialist company from the region. The funding program applies to the Heinsberg urban area and is available to private individuals with first residence in Heinsberg. The application is expected to be possible from April 1, 2025.
