In Heinsberg-Lieck, the atmosphere in the football club is extremely optimistic. The 1st FC Heinsberg-Lieck did well despite several players at the beginning of this season. Significant departures, such as the Mansaray brothers and assistant coach Willy Steitz, who now continues as a player, have taken the team on an exam. The association was only able to win two to three new players, who have so far not been able to pull the exits. Nevertheless, the club management is satisfied with the previous services.
"The team has come together," says chairman Reinhard Deußen with a feeling of relief. From the five previous encounters in the district league B2, the first team has brought remarkable seven points. The upcoming games against Wassenberg-Orsbeck and in Effeld, where the team of coach Daniel Lennartz has to show what it has to show. In the district league D2, the second team currently has tenth place.
youth promotion and future prospects
A reason to pride is the flowering youth department of the 1. FC Heinsberg-Lieck. The A-Juniors take part in the district league and all other youth teams are excellently staffed, right down to the younger Bambinis and F-Juniors, who even provide two teams. Reinhard Deußen firmly believes in the potential of his A-Juniors, who have been accompanied by coach Andreas Maassen since her first steps in the club. They play in the A-youth in their first year, and some may soon be used in the first senior team. Deußen expresses hope of being able to make the talents a tempting offer to keep them in the club, because it is known that attractive offers from other clubs are in the room.
In addition, the club management soon also expects the completion of the new artificial turf pitch, which will significantly improve the training conditions. According to Deußen, city representatives have given a time frame for the end of October in which the square can be used. Paving work around the square is currently being carried out. The artificial turf could be opened before the winter preparation, which would offer the association new possibilities.
Currently it is still being trained on an ashtray in Kirchhoven. The new artificial turf will not only serve the 1st FC; Even neighboring clubs such as Karken, Kempen and Kirchhoven will have the opportunity to stop their training there in times when the facility is not proven. However, this is only required in extremely bad weather conditions, since the neighboring clubs also have ashs.
