Pavilions in the Nordring Park: blocking for decay and repair planned
The pavilions in the popular Nordring Park in Hamm have been closed for some time - and for good reason! The city has already commissioned the repair work to make the dilapidated structures safely usable again. The costs for the repair amount to around 9,000 euros, but a specific date for the work is still pending.
The two pavilions that are right on the pond are surrounded by lattice fences. Garbage and sleeping bags testify to the use by homeless, but city spokesman Lukas Huster emphasizes that the decay of the pavilions is due to natural weathering and not to vandalism. "It happens that the pavilions are used as a place to sleep, but as long as there are no disturbances, this is not a problem," explains Huster.
repairs in the Nordring Park: Security is going on!
The rotten floor boards and undertrows make a blocking of the pavilions necessary to ensure the safety of visitors. When discovering sleeping people, they are only pointed out to the emergency shelter and asked to clear the pavilion in the morning. "Rest disturbances or pollution has not been a big issue lately," continued Huster. The city plans to produce the new flooring made of recycled plastic material, which is both environmentally friendly and sustainable. Citizens can be excited to see when the popular pavilions are accessible to everyone again!
