Ruhrpott Baskets Herne: Sieges, defeats and exciting return!
Herne, Deutschland - An exciting basketball weekend for the Ruhrpott Baskets Herne! On Sunday, the women triumphed in the Landesliga about the BBA Hagen with a clear 71:51. After a bumpy start, the Herner women took over the game and did not take the lead to the end. However, a drop of bitterness remains: Lisa Lowly injured himself in the first quarter. Trainer Anna-Lena Beckmann was enthusiastic about the team performance and the return of Anna Lorke after her stay abroad. The next game against the Witten Baskets is on Friday, where the Baskets hope for the next victory.
U18 and U16: Victories and narrow defeats
The U18 team was also happy to see a win when she defeated the TSVE Bielefeld with 58:50. However, the game was shaped by chaotic conditions because the timing and the distribution of points were not correctly recorded. Despite these difficulties, the hern women demonstrated nerve strength and secured the away win. The trainers in particular praised the outstanding performance of Leni Drewes and Maxima Bakhaus.
The female U16, on the other hand, had to give up the leader BC Soest with 51:58. Despite a strong combative performance and a catch -up in the second half, it was not enough to win. Coach Nicole Moschner-Dittinger was proud of the team performance, but emphasized the need to improve the free throw rate. The girls are optimistic about the next game, which is considered crucial for the final round.
The U14 team celebrated a clear 44: 32 victory against the Sterkrade 69ers, while the U12 defeated 35: 101 against SG Witten Baskets. The U10, on the other hand, was able to obtain an impressive 76: 31 win against CB Recklinghausen II, which underlines the team's progress. The coaches are proud of the development of their players and look forward to the upcoming challenges!
