in Hagen in Bremen, the district of Cuxhaven, an 18-year-old student, LIV, is made by a difficult diagnosis. After a successful two -year fight against blood cancer, the disease returned in October. To ensure your survival, Liv urgently needs a stem cell donation. Your school, the forest school in Hagen Beverstedt, is therefore organizing a large registration campaign for potential stem cell donors on Thursday, December 19, 2024. From 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., all interested parties are invited to register with the DKMS. Liv's father, who teaches at the school, calls the students: "Please come to the campaign and let yourself register. We thank you from the bottom of my heart," says his emotional appeal.

parallel to the registration campaign for stem cell donors, the forest school also plans to donate blood donation to support the costs for the upcoming prom. The first dates are on March 14th and May 25th, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. in building B of the forest school. Abiturator Lea Kühn and her classmate Janne Masemann organize this campaign in cooperation with the German Red Cross (DRK). Every donor, whether pupils or citizens, is welcome, and participation in the blood donation not only helps to donate life -saving blood, but also supports the celebrations of the high school graduates. In addition, typing for bone marrow donations is also offered on these occasions, which offers an additional way to help others.
The blood donation campaign and the stem cell registration are important ways to help together. "We will prepare a buffet for the donors with cakes, fruit and drinks," announces Janne. These initiatives show how closely the community can work together to support both LIV and to enable a happy conclusion for the high school graduates.
