Volmarstein. In a dramatic step, drivers in weather, near the city limits, sometimes have considerable restrictions! Autobahn GmbH announces several nightly closures of the Volmarstein driveway on the A1 in the direction of Cologne. What is behind this measure? Quite simply: lane renovations are on!

The Westfalen motorway has planned the work for the Volmarstein junction. The first of three night closures begins on Friday, November 8th, at 7 p.m. and lasts until Saturday, November 9th, at 4 p.m. This is followed by another block on Friday, November 15, from 7 p.m. to Saturday, November 16, at 9 a.m. The last block will take place on Friday, November 22nd, at 7 p.m. and end on Saturday, November 23, at 9 a.m. Drivers who move on these routes should be prepared for traffic jams and delays!

In order to minimize the impairments, traffic is diverted with a red dot via the A1 towards Bremen to the Hagen-West junction. From there, drivers can return to the A1 towards Cologne. These measures are essential to bring the road to a safe state and to ensure the safety of all road users!
