The auditorium of the Herzogenrath school center experienced a true festival of colors and joy! The Oecher town musicians provided the musical accompaniment, while the drummer and piper corps “Vorwärts” Kohlscheid ceremoniously introduced the new Princess Anna-Sabine I. (Carl). AHK chairman Stephan Rauber said goodbye to the foolish rulers of the last session, Prince Jan I and Princess Yasmin I (Euskirchen), and welcomed the new ruler with open arms. The atmosphere was electric as Vice Mayor Marie-Theres Sobczyk introduced the new princess in a poetic rhyme and presented her with the insignia of power: the princess necklace, the scepter and the city's mayoral order.

A motto full of joy of life

“Colorful through Roda-Land, let us stand together in joy and sorrow, then the customs will not disappear in the future,” is Anna-Sabine I's motto. Her eleven commandments also include the order for the mayor to provide the princess's vehicles with an HZR license plate so that their belonging to the beautiful Roda city is visible everywhere. The audience was thrilled by this happy proclamation, and Stephan Rauber beamed: “We have real sunshine, we have made a lucky move!”

From her princess chair, Anna-Sabine I not only accepted countless congratulations, but also enjoyed a colorful, foolish program that was put on stage in her honor. A truly unforgettable evening for the new princess and the entire community!
