New art café in Kuchenheim: Wolberts Fabric Schmiede comes alive!

Kuchenheim, Deutschland - Sandra Wolbert draws the line! On December 10, the 42-year-old closes her popular café "Fabric Schmiede" in Kuchenheim, which also houses a fabric shop and a sewing school. But don't worry, the story goes on! Wolbert is already planning the reopening of her sewing school at Schornstrasse 1, where she wants to start with fresh vigor and new ideas.

The future of the café on the market is secured! Valeria Dietrich, Andreas Görzen and Alexander Diener Jr. take over the "Fabric Schmiede" and want to open the café in February under the new name Kunst-Café. "We will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week," announced Görzen. In the art café, there will be not only delicious tarte flambées and sweets, but also a gallery on the first floor, where works of art are to be exhibited. "It will be a meeting point for art lovers and music lovers," he promises.

The takeover of the café is an exciting adventure for the trio. "We had a creative cramp and did not hesitate for a second when the opportunity was offered," explains Görzen. The 23-year-old Valeria Dietrich particularly wants to address the younger generation and emphasizes how important such an offer is for Kuchenheim. "I look forward to being able to bring my creativity," she says enthusiastically.

Wolbert is happy about the handover of her café: "It was a heart's desire that it continues, even if in a slightly changed form." While she focuses on new projects, including sewing costumes for film and television, the legacy of her "Fabric Schmiede" remains in good hands. The Nikolausmarkt, which she launched three years ago, will also take place this year-regardless of the weather in the LVR industrial museum. An exciting chapter for Kuchenheim begins!
