Burg, Deutschland - A dramatic accident occurred in the idyllic surroundings of the Spreewald! Eight people were injured in a shocking collision between a car and a coach. The two vehicles tipped into a ditch, which presented the emergency services with great challenges. According to a spokesman for the South Police Directorate, the incident occurred on Landstrasse 501 near Burg.

The collision happened when a 36-year-old driver tried to overtake the coach. There was a side impact that forced the bus driver to avoid to the right. This led to the bus in the ditch. On board was a Polish tour group with 41 people, seven travelers between the ages of 25 and 79 suffered minor injuries and brought to a clinic. The driver of the car, on the other hand, suffered serious injuries, while her two passengers were slightly injured and had to be recovered from the vehicle.

The fire brigade was on site with a disaster bus to supply the uninjured passengers of the coach and bring it back safely back to the Polish border. The rescue measures were so complicated that the affected country road had to be closed for about nine hours. The street could only be released again on Tuesday morning at around three o'clock. An incident that not only kept the travelers, but also the emergency services in suspense!
