Grönemeyer stops CDU: Merz World Cup hit must not be used!

Bochum. The famous pop star Herbert Grönemeyer has pushed a clear bar from the CDU! His hit "Time that something is going" must not be used for the election campaign by Chancellor candidate Friedrich Merz. This explosive decision was confirmed by Grönemeyer's media lawyer Christian Schertz to the German Press Agency.

The reason for this heated argument? At a meeting of the Junge Union in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, the iconic song was played when Merz entered the room. The moderation left no doubt: "With me, the next Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany greeted me." A clear attempt to exploit Grönemeyer's music for political purposes that does not like the artist at all!

Grönemeyer calls for immediate measures

Grönemeyer, known for his timeless hits like "man" and "men", has made clear demands on the CDU and the Junge Union. In an official letter, he demands that the use of his song for election advertising purposes immediately stop, refrain from public performances and to delete all previous online publications. His lawyer also showed that further legal steps were reserved - a clear warning shot to the CDU!

The song "Time that something turns" was published in 2006 for the World Cup and has been an integral part of Grönemeyer's concerts since then. During his last appearances in the Vonovia-Ruhr Stadium, the hit was an absolute must. And not only Grönemeyer is upset: the rapper $ OHO Bani, who recently launched a new version of the song, also protested on Instagram against the use of the song at events with Merz. The waves go high in the political music world!
