Funding for Duisburg's domestic talents: € 8,500 for young athletes!

The Duisburg Youth Sport Foundation has distributed a total of 8,500 euros to talented athletes and clubs this year. The foundation is managed by the Stadtsportbund Duisburg and aims to promote performance -oriented young athletes in Duisburg.

The foundation was founded

with a donation of DM 225,000 by Thyssen AG. Every year, the advisory board of the foundation, which is chaired by Mayor Sören Link, decides on the distribution of funds. This year's funding was awarded on December 18, 2024 in the Duisburg town hall, where the prices of Sören Link and Uwe Busch, the managing director of the city sports association, were handed over.

    • KSV Wedau (canoe slalom)
