Violence protection in the hospital: new brochure against aggression presented!
Violence protection in the hospital: new brochure against aggression presented!
In German hospitals, disrespect and aggressiveness is often part of everyday work. Reports of physical attacks are increasing, which is not only stressful for employees, but also dangerous. In response to these alarming developments, the Hospital Society North Rhine-Westphalia e.V. (KGNW) and the prevention network #icheri service jointly developed a "violent brochure". This guideline is intended to help clinic employees to deal with everyday violence better and to take preventive measures.
To prepare aggression and improve security in the healthcare system, the KGNW will join this important network. This decision marks an important step to improve the working conditions of the employees in the clinics of North Rhine-Westphalia. Admission to the network is officially celebrated on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ministry of the Interior in Düsseldorf. On this occasion, Interior Minister Herbert Reul and Minister of Health Karl-Josef Laumann, together with the Vice President of the KGNW, Dr. Matthias Ernst, present the new brochure and sign a certificate to join.
official presentation and reporting
The venue for this important presentation is located at Friedrichstrasse 62-80, 40217 Düsseldorf. All interested parties are invited, but asked for a prior registration by October 1, 2024, 4:00 p.m., to the specified email address pressestelle@im.nrw.de. This event is not only a sign of recognizing the problem, but also a proactive measure to promote the safety of employees in healthcare.
The introduction of this "violent brochure" shows that politics and hospital companies have recognized the need to act against the increasing violence in the clinic sector. By creating such aids, employees can receive better support and learn how to react appropriately in critical situations. At a time when the stresses in health facilities increase, it is important that everyone involved works together to create safe work environments and to offer employees the necessary security.
