innovations in engine and luxury yachts
Among the highlights this year are several important innovations, such as the Beneteau Swift Trawler 54 , which is presented as a world premiere at the fair. This model celebrates the 140th anniversary and offers space for families with three decks - sleeping area, main deck with cockpit and tax stand as well as flybridge - especially for boomers with grandchildren. Furthermore, the Nimbus 495 Fly is presented, which enters the luxury class as a premiere of Germany. With a rumbling length of 44 feet and D6 engines from Volvo Penta (480 hp), a top speed of 28.6 knots is achieved.
Another piece of jewelry is the Sanlorenzo SP92 , which is tailored to the individual needs of the owner. With a length of almost 28 meters, it offers space for 6 to 8 guests and up to 4 crew members and reaches a maximum speed of 38 knots thanks to two MAN V12 engines. Finally, the Galeon 435 GTI with a length of 13.60 m in Hall 6 at D59 will also be shown at the booth, together with numerous other yachts and boat models.
The focus of the fair is not only the new boats, but also the discussion about the ecological balance within the industry, which has become increasingly important in the past two years. Despite the increased environmental awareness, there are hardly any real innovations in industry, and superyachts are still considered to be large issuers of greenhouse gases, such as float magazin reported.
