Senden, Deutschland - drama on the K 4! From Monday, October 28, 2024, Kreisstraße 4 between Senden and Buldern will experience a full closure, which will last until December 6, 2024. This drastic measure is essential because there are urgently needed repair work on two bridges that date from 1963 and 1966! Time is pushing, because the bridges have been on their hump for decades!

The bridge over the Nonnenbach is first tackled: From October 28 to November 14, the sealing of the roadway board will be renewed, followed by the concrete repair. After that, the bridge over the Hagenbach is on - this will take place from November 15th to December 6th. Goal? The lifespan of these buildings is to be extended for further decades!

For all those who are on the K 4, there is no easy solution. The power traffic is diverted via the L 835 and K 27 to bypass the construction work. The good news? There is still access for pedestrians and cyclists, since the walking and bike path is not affected by the closure. However, residents may have to use detours to get their properties. The Coesfeld district asks for understanding for the resulting disabilities and waiting times - the construction work is essential to ensure that the bridges remain in a perfect condition.
