Another highlight in the event calendar of Havixbeck is the "Mapping Stories" Screening, which will take place on April 1, 2025 in the Baumberger Sandstein Museum. The event starts at 8:00 p.m. and is expected to end around 10:30 p.m. The guests can expect an open air screening and a talk that follows the performance of "Listen to - Sing. Poems - Songs - Stories" by Werner Bußmann and Dieter Terschluse.
The light artist Nikola Dicke will present trick-film animations in mixed media technology based on discussions with contemporary witnesses. The films are shown in connection with hand -drawn circular cards, which come from Dikce's father, a former surveyor engineer. The aim is to present these films as an open air cinema in the people surveyed and to actively participate in the public narrative café for contemporary witnesses. The stories collected during these events flow into the "Mapping Stories" trick films that deal with the area reform in the Coesfeld district.
The finished films can finally be admired from May 3 to 8 at the Vischering Castle in Lüdinghausen. This event is part of the initiative "Show change - 50 years of regional reform in the Münsterland".
