Journey to California: Young people discover new hope!

Oakland, USA - An exciting pilgrimage through the USA turned three young men upside down! On the move with rental cars through California, they not only discovered the beauty of the country, but also rekindled their own faith. "We have started to talk about God what the Church means to us and what we hope," says Oliver Rothe, the pastor who led this inspiring journey. It was a time of reflection and the common prayer that came about without pressure - a real miracle!

Rothe has made it a mission to pass on the belief in the youth. "When traveling there is a great chance that this will succeed," he emphasizes. The United States stands for liveliness and joy in faith - characteristics that it also wants for the church in Germany. The young people paid 850 euros for the trip, but the majority of the financing came from spacious sponsors who supported the trip. "The sponsor content is at least two and a half times as high," explains Rothe pride.

a new feeling of faith

The impressions of the trip are overwhelming! Justus is enthusiastic about the cheerfulness of the people who met them with a smile. "It is very different from our grass," he says. Simon raves about the hospitality and the lively community of faith that they experienced on the way. "The church we live in is also young when we really pass on the faith," he is convinced. Joshua, on the other hand, felt touched by a special mission in the cathedral "Christ the Light" in Oakland: "Take this home! You are the young people, you have to spread faith!"

Back in Germany you have taken the first step to pass on your experiences. Every two weeks they meet digitally for complete and keep faith alive. "It is good for me," says Joshua and shows that the trip not only remains a memory, but is also a new beginning for your faith!
