The police are looking for owners: Tool theft causes excitement!
Coesfeld, Deutschland - In the district of Coesfeld, a current case of alleged theft causes a stir. The police suspect that a number of tools used on construction sites come from vehicle bricks. So far, however, no specific crime scene is known, which presents the investigation with a major challenge.
The stolen tools were found on various construction sites in the circle. What is striking is a construction site radio from the Makita brand, on which a sticker from the Holthöwer specialist shop is attached. This could be an important indication of identifying the owner for the police. There is also a box with an improvised strap made of perforated material, which also serves as a piece of evidence. On another Makita toolbox there is a light blue dot on the type shield, which may be a special labeling.
Investigations and breakouts
The investigators assume that the alleged stolen goods do not necessarily have to come from the Coesfeld district. In the past few weeks, however, several cases of transporters have been recorded. The incidents in Dülmen that took place between 07 and 08 October are particularly worrying. Halterner Straße, Koppelweg and Billerbecker Straße were affected here. In Coesfeld, on Strobandstrasse, the police had to record a departure between October 1st and October 2nd.
The police ask the population for help. Notes on the stolen tools and alleged perpetrators are welcome on 02541-140. Every note could help find the owners of the tools and possibly also prevent further breakouts.
These thefts throw a shadow on the security situation in the region and show a clear connection between tool theft and vehicle bricks. The police are trying to clarify the situation and invite all citizens to perceive their role in combating crime.
