A memorable farewell: fire brigade legend Jürgen Kokott after 45 years in retirement

Bottrop, Deutschland - In March 2025, the annual general meeting of the Fuhlenbrock volunteer fire brigade took place in Bottrop, where a significant moment of farewell was celebrated. Fire director Andreas Schaefer was honored by his comrades one last time as a representative of the head of office before entering the well -deserved pension. Numerous topics were dealt with at the meeting, including the progress of the construction projects for two new fire guards and the upcoming procurement of a new fire engine. A gratifying year 2024 was balanced, in which the fire brigade only had 44 missions in the urban area. Particularly noteworthy were the promotions of Fabian Schacht and Bastian Weiner to underrust masters and the honors of long -standing members, including Sascha Hannibal, who was awarded an honor for 25 years in the fire brigade, as well as other members for 10, 30, 40 and even 45 years of belonging to the defense, such as Michael Bader and Andre Wermter. This was recognized by the local defense management around Magnus Schmidt, Stefan Zens and Sascha Hannibal.

In Hamburg, on the other hand, the Rahlstedt volunteer fire brigade said goodbye to a real veteran: Jürgen Kokott. After 45 years of active service, he was retired, and his farewell party was an emotional homage to his extraordinary commitment. On November 23, 2024, Kokott was picked up with a historical fire -fighting vehicle of his early days and completed a tour of the city, which aroused numerous memories of different missions. His impressive career began in 1979, and over the years he had over 4000 alarms. Kokott was great in communication and also brought his expertise to the Hamburg fire brigade. During his time as a military leader, he played a crucial role in setting up the vehicle population and founding the youth fire brigade. Despite his retirement, he will continue to actively participate in the support association of the Rahlstedt volunteer fire brigade and thus continue his tireless efforts for the community, as the Rahlstedt volunteer fire brigade proudly reported.
