Bottrop starts e-mobility offensive: 39 new charging stations for the city!

Bottrop, Deutschland - Bottrop, the pulsating city in the heart of the Ruhr area with around 120,000 inhabitants, faces an electrifying change! With an ambitious e-mobility concept, the city has now given the starting signal for the construction of 39 brand new charging stations. Four dynamic companies-E-Maxx, JuCr, Quello and Emscher Lippe Energie-have been awarded the contract to install ten charging stations in each case and in one case. The construction should begin in early 2025 and promises to significantly improve the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Bottrop!

The details of the charging stations

The new AC charging stations are designed in such a way that two cars can be refueled at the same time, which creates a total of 78 charging points! The operators have undertaken to sign the charging spaces clearly to make only green electricity and to remedy disorders within just eight hours. A real plus for the residents: no blocking fee for nightly charging is charged, while the maximum loading time is limited to three hours during the day.

Klaus Müller, the city's technical deputy, emphasizes: "We want a charging station to cover a radius of 150 meters and can be reached at reasonable distance." In order to meet the needs of all Bottroper, the locations of the charging stations have been strategically selected in different districts. Over 3,200 electric vehicles are currently registered in Bottrop, and with these new charging stations, the city is becoming even more attractive for electric car drivers!
