Emsdetten, Deutschland - A gripping basketball game of the female U16 of TV Emsdetten ended with a dramatic victory that was only decided in the last second! Last Saturday, the girls competed against RSV Borken, a duel between two equally strong teams that kept the audience in suspense. With a final score of 69:71, both teams showed that they could act at eye level.

The tve girls started furiously and quickly led 14: 3. Lucia Michel shone with 9 points and two threes in the first quarter, which they ended with 27:15. But the RSV Borken did not give up and fought back, so that the half ended with a narrow 37:35 for the TV. The second half developed into a true thriller with many leadership changes. Ten seconds before the end, Leandra Herting converted two free throws and put the TV in the lead with 62:59. But the shock came two seconds before the final whistle, when Borken equalized with a threesome and the game went into the extension!

In the overtime, the Emsdetteners demonstrated nerve strength. Leandra Herting was the heroine of the game and scored six of the nine points in extra time. Marlen Büker, who represented the injured Lucia Michel excellently, also made a decisive contribution to victory.
