Emergency forces in the district of Borken: focus on respect and tolerance!

An exciting event for the emergency services in the Borken district! The hiking exhibition "Man behind", which was already seen in the Borken district house in June, makes headlines again. The aim of the exhibition is to promote respect and tolerance for the fire brigade, police and emergency services in view of the alarming increase in attacks on these professional groups. The initiative presents large -format photos and moving stories of people behind the uniforms. Among these heroes are four remarkable forces from the Borken district: Christoph Dölle, Karsten Kebbedei, Simone Schulze Beilkel and Lea Thien. District Administrator Dr. Kai Zwicker and district director Dr. Elisabeth Schwenzow praised their brave commitment and demanded more recognition for all emergency services.

calendar 2025: A tribute to the emergency services

A very special highlight is now the newly published annual calendar "The person behind it 2025", which presents the stories of these four emergency services. The calendar is available in DIN A3 format for 15 euros plus shipping costs and offers an excellent opportunity to show respect for these brave people - perfect as a Christmas present! It was emphasized that the calendars are only available as long as the stock lasts, i.e. access quickly! The order can be made by email at the-mensch-dahinter@gmx.de or picked up directly in the Kult Westmünsterland.

The initiative for respect and tolerance that emerged from civil society has already caused a sensation in over 30 cities. It all started after the riots in Stuttgart in June 2020. Since then, the exhibition has been a sign of tolerance and civil courage. The campaign in the stadiums was also presented at the European Football Championship 2024 in order to set a sign of support for emergency services. The initiative's commitment has already received several awards, including the honorary award of the Diocese of Münster.
