The Sparkasse switched to emergency operation. Cash payments are still possible via the so-called SafeBag solutions, but the coin money acceptance for private customers is temporarily discontinued. However, business customers can continue to deposit coins. The World Savings Day, a popular event for the small savers, has to be postponed for an indefinite period. An additional day is required for payments of savings bank books, while the main branch in Treysa is still open.
The service switch in Borken remains open, but only in emergency operation. Customers are asked to make transfers online or by phone via the customer service center at 06691 800-888.
