Children's University Bonn: Science up close for the young discoverers!
On January 13, 2025, the Bonn children's university begins, which has exciting scientific lectures for children between 8 and 13 years old. Six scientists will present their topics in the Wolfgang-Paul Hörsaal in Kreuzbergweg 28, which are prepared for age. The lectures can be found on Mondays at 5:00 p.m. C.T. instead and last until 6 p.m. Participation is free of charge, registration is not required, but this is welcome for larger groups.
The lecture series extends over two semesters with six events each. The participants have the opportunity to collect stamps on a stamp card; A children's uni diploma is presented from ten stamps. Diplomas are awarded during a ceremony at the end of the summer semester. This project is made by Dr. Hans Riegel Foundation supported.

As reported by the University of Bonn, the lecture on Jingis Khan not only deals with its historical importance as the founder of the Mongolian Empire, which existed from 1208 to 1227, but also with current archaeological excavations that are carried out by scientists from Bonn in Mongolia. The interrelation between man and the environment is also examined, in particular the climatic influences on the rise and fall of the Mongolian Empire.
