In a dramatic incident on Tuesday morning, November 19, the Bochum fire brigade was called to an alarming fire on Höntroper Straße at 10:50 a.m. Local residents reported densely smoke development from an apartment, which required immediate measures. The forces of the Wachen Wattenscheid and the leadership service of the main fire station flashed to make the dangerous commitment.

When it arrived, the alarming situation was confirmed: Rauch came outside from the first floor. Equipped with breathing apparatus, a fire brigade team stormed into the apartment and discovered burning textiles on night storage heating. The fire could be deleted quickly through quick action and worse disaster was prevented. It strongly reminds us of it: textiles should never be placed on night storage heaters - this can lead to overheating and devastating fires!

The good news: There were no injuries to complain about in the assignment. At around 12 noon, the brave emergency services were able to end their commitment and bring the situation under control.
