A beautiful October morning in Bochum took a shocking turn! On October 27th at 4:15 a.m. there was a serious solo accident with an e-scooter on the Südring. A 36-year-old woman from Bochum wanted to cross a crossing towards Universitätsstrasse when the unthinkable happened: she lost control on the curb and fell violently.
The woman suffered serious injuries in the terrible fall and had to be taken to hospital immediately. Rescue workers were quickly on the scene and provided her with rapid medical care. But the snapshot of this tragedy is made even bleaker by an alarming finding: when the police investigated the accident, they discovered that the woman was under the influence of alcohol. An alcohol test was not possible, but a blood sample was taken directly to provide further information.
